  • Who can get a card
The Teague Public Library is supported primarily by taxes paid by residents of Teague, Texas.  The library also receives support from the county and state; therefore library services are available to any Texas resident at no charge.
  • How to Get Your Card
The library requires all potential patrons to present a Drivers License or any other valid picture identification and a proof of address (water/electric bill, insurance card, etc.).  The application card must be filled out in person.

A parent or guardian must assume responsibility for materials borrowed by a person under eighteen years of age; therefore it is the adult's identification that is required for the registration of a minor.  The initial library card is free, replacement cards are $2.00.
  • Borrowing Limits
The checkout time frame is for two weeks with the option of two renewals. Books can only be renewed if there are no other reserves for that book.  Patrons can call, go online, or come into the library to renew books.
  • Placing Holds
Any patron can call, go online, or come into the library to reserve materials.
  • Library Fines
Fines start to accrue the date after the materials were due back.  The rate for fines on books are .10/day and movies are .50/day.
